A nice family friendly restaurant near the oceanfront. With the ocean at a close distance, we wanted to take advantage of all the fresh seafood!
We went on a Monday, which means free nachos with an order of a pitcher. We got the raspberry iced tea, and it was a nice refresher to the hot Miami summer.
Even though it was free, the size of the nachos took us by surprise:
Yummm…crispy tortilla chips with all the fun toppings: guacamole, melted cheese, jalapenos, lettuce, sour cream. The list goes on. To be honest, I already felt a bit full after this appetizer, but it was so worth it!
On Sunday through Thursday, they also had these meal deals, which include a main course, a salad, garlic roll, a potato, and a beverage. (Woot..Yes, you can see where this is heading…incoming food coma)
We got ten BBQ wings (top) and a full-rack ribs (bottom) with sides of curly fries as meal deals. At the top left is a tuna steak with baked potato. My favorite was definitely the ribs. The meat fell easily off the bones…Ah. So tasty, now I want some more.
A classy Italian restaurant with casual vibes. It was a cozy spot with rather interesting paintings on the wall.
For appetizer, we got a free basket of bruschetta and tomato & basil toppings. There was also pepper-infused olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. It was delicious and rather different from the usual bread basket with butter.
For our dinner, we ordered a Saltimbocca Alla Romana (veal scaloppini – top left), Calamari Alla Griglia (grilled calamari – top right), Lasagna Atla Bolognese (bottom left). For my dish, I got a Tortelloni Ai Funghi Porcini (cheese tortelloni – below). Topped with some fresh tomatoes and mushrooms, each tortelloni was a perfect bite.
